Our first and last love is --- self-love (Pre-Valentine Post)
Hi Darlings!
As the most awaited (by women) holiday approaches, many of us prepare for an extravagant or a very special date with that special someone. Flower vendors lining up the street sides, restaurants are getting busy for a crowded night of love and romance, and heart shaped boxes of candy and teddy bears showing their love are flying off the shelves. These scenarios may be a bit overwhelming to those who were unfortunately missed by Cupid’s bow and arrow. I for one can’t help but feel completely dreaded by tomorrow’s event.

love is in the air! |
This Tuesday is Valentine’s Day, a day that celebrates love between two people, wherein lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery and sending love letters and/or greeting cards (originally and traditionally). The question is, if it was celebrated traditionally for couples, or lovers, does it mean Single gals and lads can’t celebrate the-so-called holiday?
Singles, don’t let yourself get sucked and be trapped in the portal of loneliness and bitterness on Valentine’s Day.
You better stop whining or ranting how you hate such holiday because you don’t have a partner to celebrate it with. Remember, it’s a celebration of love and love doesn’t just revolve from girlfriend/boyfriend and husband/wife relationship. We have so much love to share for everyone, we have our family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and even pets, and we are living in the 21st century after all. Ask your friends out, or your brothers and sisters. Watch a movie with your officemates, hangout with your girlfriends or even a have a drink with your best buds. But don’t forget who deserves your love the most, not only on such event but all throughout the year – YOURSELF.
Today, I’m asking myself “Will you be my Valentine?” This may sound desperate or seem lonely but it’s not. Why don’t you treat yourself with a well deserve whole body massage, or a sumptuous dinner from a restaurant you’ve been dying to try out. Every year, I have a valentine; hence I’m new to this “date-with-myself”. I’m Single and I’m choosing to celebrate this holiday and not sulk around or feel sorry for myself. I’ve been through a lot in my past relationships; tomorrow will be a very different day for me (Nothing fancy for sure because honestly, as much as I like Valentine’s Day, I’m not a fan of the crowd it attracts. I mean too many people everywhere!)
- After work, I will buy a pair of red flats and wear it tomorrow for work; that is if the weather permits. (Why wait for someone to give you a present?)
- I’m going to wear a cute outfit that will surely brighten my day and make me feel good and look pretty. (If Black is part of your everyday wardrobe just like me, then do wear black; just don’t forget to incorporate anything that screams looooove! Haha just sayin’)
- I will buy my favorite chocolate and share it with everyone! (Single on Valentine’s Day doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy my favorite sweet treats)
- It’s time for a movie marathon tomorrow after work! (I have a lot of pending movies on my lappy top to watch)
- Last but not the least, greet everyone you meet, smile, and spread some good lovin’.
Till next blog darlings!
Happy Valentines! ciao, xoxo

mustard. and a lil bit of everythin'
Hi Darlings!
Yesterday was the last day of the first month of the year! hahahah ok try to digest that first. I wanted to end the month with a positive outlook in life. Lately, I've been reflecting alot about my life. to make it short, I'm in that phase we call "mid-life crisis!" maybe too early? I guess.
To break my habit of staring blankly ahead (a lot in my mind), I decided to do something that would remind me I should not be lonely or be negative today. First idea is to incorporate it on whatever I'll be wearing for work. To start off, I chose a color that I don't usually wear! I'm not a big fan of yellow (any shade) and I can actually count how many colored yellow clothes I have. The top is supposed to be a shirt but since I lost weight and unimaginably short, it looked somewhat like a dress.
I wore a black mini skirt underneath because it's a big no no to wear sheer tights and top alone! I paired it with my black sheer tights, leopard print and a pair of black oxford shoes w/ Heels! yes with heels. :)
My day, become so much brighter than the past few days. Maybe, leaving your comfort zone every once in awhile is really healthy. Wore Mustard color shirt for the 2nd time ever and strutted a printed sheer tights for the first time (believe it) made a big difference.
All I need is to get out of my comfort zone.

"Never be afraid to try something new because life gets boring when you stay within the limits of what you already knew"
Starting today FEB 1 2012, I will make some changes in my life not because I have to but because I want to... Make my dream a reality, take chances, take risks and let go of the past.
Till next blog lovelies,
ciao, xoxo
